More Communities We Welcome
Your neighborhood doesn’t need its own page for you to be welcome here. We also welcome patients from McDowell Mountain Ranch, the Kierland area, Pinnacle Peak, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree and the rest of Scottsdale and North Phoenix.
Life out here pulls people outdoors. The McDowell Sonoran Preserve alone protects more than 30,500 acres of desert, so it’s no surprise that plenty of people here would rather be on a trail than in a dental chair. That’s one reason we try to get more done in fewer visits, starting with same-day CEREC crowns that are designed and placed in a single appointment.
A Dentist Who Knows the Area
Dr. Rod W. Gore, DDS has practiced dentistry in Scottsdale for more than 38 years. That’s long enough to predate Troon North Golf Club, which opened in 1990, and Grayhawk’s first golf course, which opened in 1994.
He earned his DDS from Northwestern University in 1987 and has been an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1995. He still serves as an active AACD Examiner. The AACD says fewer than 350 dentists worldwide hold accreditation, and Dr. Gore is one of only two in Arizona.
Longtime patients describe it better than we can. “I have been a patient of Dr. Gore since 1995 when I moved to the valley,” writes Ed C. Pam W. has seen him for at least 30 years, and she writes that her grown kids, who’ve since moved away, still want Dr. Gore to do their dental work on visits back to Arizona. You can read both in our dental reviews.
Dr. Gore is the only dentist in the practice, so the dentist who plans your care is the same one who carries out your treatment.
Getting Started as a New Patient
Getting started takes three simple steps, wherever you’re coming from:
- Book your first visit – Call 480-585-6225 or use our Request an Appointment page.
- Fill out your forms ahead of time – Our new patient forms can be completed before you arrive, so check-in goes faster.
- Bring what you have – Your insurance card, a list of medications and any recent X-rays or records from a previous dentist.
We accept Cigna, and our front office verifies your benefits before your visit. No dental insurance? The GOREgeous Membership Plan covers exams, cleanings and X-rays for an annual fee, plus 20% off many treatments.
Nervous about the dentist, or haven’t been in a while? Our dentistry for anxious patients starts with a conversation, and we offer nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation if you want help relaxing. Nobody here is going to lecture you about how long it’s been.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept new patients from my neighborhood?
Yes. We welcome new patients from every community on this page and from anywhere else in the Valley. When you call 480-585-6225, mention where you live, and our front desk will help you find a time that fits your week.
My neighborhood is not listed. Can I still come in?
Of course. Our neighborhood pages cover the communities closest to our office, but you don’t need one to be welcome. If you can get to Loop 101, you can get to us.
What are your office hours?
We see patients Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and we’re closed on Fridays. Those early starts make it easier to fit a visit in before work.
I just moved to the area. What should I do about my dental records?
Ask your previous dentist’s office to send your recent X-rays and records, or bring copies to your first visit. If that isn’t possible, we’ll take any new X-rays we need here, so a missing file won’t hold you up.
I am only in Arizona part of the year. Can you work around my schedule?
Yes. Tell us your arrival and departure dates when you call, and we’ll plan your visits around them. Same-day CEREC crowns also help, since a crown can be finished in one appointment instead of two.
Do you see the whole family?
Yes. From dentistry for kids to senior dental care, we see every age, and we can often schedule family members back to back so one trip covers several people.
Why choose GOREgeous Smiles if there is a dentist closer to home?
For a quick cleaning, closer may be fine, and we’d never pretend otherwise. What you get for the drive is an AACD-accredited dentist, same-day crowns and more than 38 years of practice in Scottsdale. Browse our smile gallery and decide for yourself.
