SHAWNA AGUIRRE

Registered Dental Hygienist

In the early 1990s, I was a college student in California, working three jobs. One of them was as a dental assistant, in my home town of Palm Springs. After moving to Arizona in 1998, I continued with my dental career. In 2001, I graduated and passed the Board exams to become a Registered Dental Hygienist.

I have worked and studied alongside some outstanding dentists, who are at top of their field in dentistry. I have had the good fortune to be a part of Dr. Rod Gore’s practice since 2007. He encourages his team to learn and share our knowledge and skills with our patients every day. Dr. Gore provides the most up to date equipment and diagnostics to help treat and educate our patients. It is so fulfilling to work with our patients to create healthy, beautiful smiles. I have been with Dr. Gore long enough, that some of the kids I used to help into the dental chair, are now all grown up and taller than me!

When I am not at the office, I enjoy being outside. Working and focusing on small spaces inside the mouth gives me an appreciation for fresh air and big views on my time off. We live in a perfect place to get outdoors and hike. My husband and our yellow Labrador Retriever, Olivia, enjoy exploring the red rocks of Sedona and mountain trails of Colorado.

Travel is not just a hobby for me, it is an education about the world. I try to leave the country at least once a year. Some of the favorite places I have been are Iceland, Bali, Andalusia (Spain) and Marrakesh (Morocco). My patients have given me some of the best travel tips over the years.

ASHLEY STEWART-CRESPO

Lead Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Rexburg Idaho where I started my dental career 11 years ago. I moved to Pocatello Idaho then off to Seattle where I spent 5 years. Since July of 2019, I am happy to call Arizona my home. In my career, I have had the chance to work alongside multiple dentists, but now I am fortunate enough to be a part of Dr. Gore’s practice. Dr. Gore encourages his team to gain knowledge and new skills to share with our patients. Dr. Gore also provides the most up-to-date technology and equipment to treat our patients. I truly enjoy working for Dr. Gore knowing he genuinely cares about his patients and staff.

In my spare time, I love enjoying the beautiful outdoors which includes hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, traveling, exploring Arizona, and spending time with my husband and two dogs Scully and Spice. I’m always looking for new adventures, so feel free to share yours on your next visit. Hope to see you soon!

Stephanie Johnson

Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Arizona,” the sunshine state”, where I was introduced to a career that I grew to love. I been in the dental field for over 20 years and I still love it. I have worked with many Dentists with numerous skills but I’m glad I was chosen to join Dr. Gore’s practice and became part of a team that I enjoy working with. Dr. Gore has given me the knowledge of new technology that is given to the patients for better care and also esthetics that gives them the smiles that they really have been wanting. This office made me look at patient care in an entirely new way for the better of health and cosmetics. I am grateful that Dr. Gore enjoys and treats his staff and patients with the quality and standard of care that is well deserved.

When I am not in the office I love to spend a lot of time with my husband and grandkids whom I love very dearly and also teach them the knowledge that I gained from Dr. Gore on keeping up with home care. I look forward to being a part of your GOREgeous smiles soon.

LISA SHOEMAKER

Treatment Coordinator

I have been in dentistry for 13 years and love my job! Born in Denver, Colorado, and raised from the age of four in the greater Seattle area, I attended Bellevue College and Shoreline College where I graduated with honors and went into the medical field for 16 years. I then attended The Jan Rogers Dental Front Office Training School in Bothell, Washington, and have been in dental ever since. I moved to Arizona in January 2017 and began working with Dr. Gore in January 2018. I am blessed to work with Dr. Gore and staff, the best dental office in Arizona! I’m here to help you understand your overall dental needs, treatment plan estimates, and finance options. Our patients are considered an extension of our office family.

In my spare time I enjoy golfing, hiking, swimming, concerts (preferably outdoors), wine tasting, and travel and am a Huge Seattle Seahawks fan.

KIM WINTERSTEEN

Financial Coordinator

Born and raised in Michigan moved to Fountain Hills with my family in 1983.  I have been in Dentistry for 25 years, and I have worked with several specialty offices. I really enjoy working with Dr. Gore he gives great care to his patients and staff.  Dr. Gore is excellent in his profession.  Love always learning and evolving with technology in the Dental World.  I am very Blessed in my life. I enjoy spending time with my family, selling and listing real estate, traveling, decorating, shopping, and attending Church.
